The Profession
Promotion of Building Production Management, Construction and Maintenance Management principles that will
continuously provide solutions to the ever changing complexity of aesthetic, structural
services and functional requirements of all types of building and housing projects and the
professionals that will produce and manage building production in all its aspects and ramifications.
The Institute
To develop and promote an Institute that will be Nigeria's authority in Building
Production Management, Building Construction, Building Maintenance Management, Building Surveying and investigation through continuous professional development, research and training for the benefit of all stakeholders
such as the government, the clients, construction professionals, construction industry operators, the Nigerian
public and international interest groups through effective information management and efficient propagation of the Institute's activities and appropriate interaction with relevant corporate organizations locally and internationally.
The Chapters
To have functional State Chapters that will serve members and the public by promoting the ideals
of the Institute at the grass root.
Members
To develop qualitative membership with professional competence, integrity and social status commensurate with vibrant national development and career excellence worthy of emulation.
Education and Training
To. develop high standard of education and training that will continuously respond to the ever changing complexities of the demand of professional services required of Builders through academic and practical training in tertiary institutions, and utilization of modern technology commensurate with the highest standard obtainable anywhere in the world.
Research and Development
To promote research and development in all aspects of construction technology, materials, equipment, building production management, construction management,
project management, building services and utilizing modern equipment and information technology for the benefit of man.
